I think this is my favorite out of all the ones on the page right now. It has more of an emotional punch than you give it credit for. Not so much empty as lonely, because of the bookbag... belongs to someone who's likely all alone in the empty space, or else they forgot it there and they're going to be in trouble because they can't do their homework.
